On December 24, 2024, the eighth general meeting of China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycle was held in Chongqing. The meeting conducted a comprehensive and thorough review and summary of the industry's development status in 2024, while looking forward to the industry's development trend in 2025.
Leaders attended the meeting. Professor Bai Jinfu, Director of Digital Economy Research Institute of Beijing Technology and Business University, was specially invited to give a special report, and Professor Li Daokui of Tsinghua University also interpreted the development trend of the national economic situation in 2025 for through video link. More than 165 enterprises from the motorbike industry's upstream and downstream industrial chains met in communication and discussion in order to plan for sustainable prosperity and innovative growth.

He said that the global digital economic development is evolving from digitalization to digital intelligence, and China has fully opened a new stage of digital intelligence, so we should grasp the trending changes, better utilize the advantages of intelligence, and promote the high-quality development of digital economy. At the same time, it is proposed that motorcycle enterprises should accelerate the transformation of digital intelligence, and through the transformation of digital intelligence, give full play to the advantages of the motorcycle industry and promote the accelerated development of the industry.

Mr. Li Bin provided an overview of China's motorcycle industry and its prospects for 2025. Despite a slowdown in domestic motorcycle demand since 2024, he said that large-displacement leisure and recreational models continue to grow rapidly. Foreign trade exports are expected to reach a new high this year, the motorcycle product structure is still improving, and the industry is on a positive and stable path. 2025, the industry challenges and opportunities co-exist, under the pull of the national policy, the domestic demand is expected to warm up, but the uncertainty in the overseas market and the trade risk has increased. It is expected that Chinese motorcycles with large displacements will continue to have greater development potential in the coming years, while motorcycle intelligence safety will be an important part of the industry's high-quality development. In the future, motorcycle sports events are expected to show rapid growth as a part of motorcycle culture.

Mr. Zhang Hongbo made a report on the work of CCCM in 2024 and the financial report of CCCM in 2024 ; and reported and submitted the Proposal for Supplementary Appointment of the Fourth Council Unit of CCCM.
He said that in 2024 CCCM actively promoted the development of the industry under the complicated economic situation, and made excellent achievements in various aspects. The Chamber takes party building as the lead, conducts surveys and researches, grasps the latest situation of enterprises, actively communicates with government departments, puts forward policy suggestions, strives for a fairer and more equitable development environment for the industry, and carries out multi-faceted work, continues to call for a solution to the issue of banning and restricting motorcycles, and builds a platform for expanding external exchanges to enhance the influence of the industry.
In 2025, the Chamber will continue to adhere to the leadership of the Party, focus on the core interests of the industry, and continue to make efforts in Party building, research, communication with the government, solving the urban “ban on motorcycles”, and carrying out exchange activities, so as to promote the motorcycle industry to a new stage of high-quality development.

They unanimously approved the “China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycle 2024 Work Report”, “China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycle 2024 Financial Report” , “China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycle 2024 Supervisors' Report”; and the “Proposal on the Addition of the Fourth Session of the Governing Units of China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycle”.

Mr. Zuo Zongshen made a concluding speech. In the past year, the motorcycle industry has made remarkable achievements under multiple pressures at home and abroad, and recognized the great work done for the development of the industry. At the same time, he also put forward relevant suggestions on the direction of work in 2025. The Chamber should continue to strengthen the leadership of the Party, focus on the key issues of industry development, and actively communicate with government departments to put forward the demands of the industry. It should actively guide enterprises to self-discipline, regulate the market order, resist “involutional” competition, promote the healthy development of the industry, guide enterprises to technological innovation, encourage mergers and acquisitions, optimize resources, and improve the innovation and competitiveness of enterprises and products. He said that the world economy is in a period of change, motorcycle, as a kind of transportation commonly used in the world, has great potential in electrification, intelligentization, etc. The motorcycle industry is confident to overcome the difficulties and challenges, and jointly promote the motorcycle industry to enter a new stage of development.
